Frequently asked questions
Why telehealth vs in-person physical therapy?
Everyone is different in what works for them! If you would prefer an in-person visit and live within my travel radius, I would be more than happy to come to you for your treatments! Telehealth via video calling is just another mode of delivering the same quality treatments you would recieve in-person. You are empowered with information and taught to complete similar activies as you would in a clinic setting in the comfort of your own home, office, ect.
What are the benefits of physical therapy via telehealth?
Telehealth isn't for everyone! During our first consult we will discuss what the best option is for you!
What is physical therapy?
So you may be asking yourself, what is physical therapy and is this for me? If you have suffered from a concussion and you don't feel like you are back to normal, yes I can help you! I can guide you through the recovery process since every concussion is different!
Do I need a referral from a physician?
Nope! It is not necessary but if you have one I will accept it. A referral or a prescription is not needed, I am trained to recognize conditions and symptoms that are not within my scope to treat and will connect you with a physician if necessary for your condition.
Do you take my insurance?
Essential PT is not credentialed with any insurance providers. We believe in autonomy with regards to treating our clients and as a result we are able to offer one-on-one sessions to provide the level of care needed for our patients. This means faster recovery in a shorter period of time/ fewer visits.
What should I expect?
All sessions are performed 1-on-1 with you and your therapist. Sessions include a comprehensive interview and assessment that will be specific to your issue. Once finished an individualized plan will be created.
